Hello. Husband and I bought our first rv a 2016 montana 305rl last December from some folks who used it a few times. Towing with my 2014 ram 3500 dually worked for the horse trailer and towing the rv fine. Service people said it was basically new and unused. We got a great deal on it and are currently living on our daughter and son in laws property enjoying the grandsons and some summer boating with them. In a few weeks we will take a short 2 week trip to a lake an hour away and then we're off to the beach for a few months.husband fully retired I'm a semi retired horse trainer/ riding instructor. Not sure I won't go back to work next year but we'll see. My horse is retired so I'll have to get a new daily rider if I do. But for now I'm not working.

We've been learning all we need to while parked here from our son in law who is on his second rv and hoping we'll be fine on our own.

This will be an exciting adventure for you. My understanding is that there are many camping spots in your state. Safe travels. Keep cool by the lake and for now enjoy those Grandsons.

Thanks very many places and we wanted to spend time with them this month as we'll be gone through November and that's if we're ready to leave Port A by Thanksgiving. It has already been quite the adventure learning so much. We're excited to get on the road.

Welcome to the forum! We built ourselves a home base (place to park for the summer) so we spend the summer with our grandkids and great grandkids and then travel spring and fall. Got to make this lifestyle work for you.

Welcome aboard! There's a lot to learn about RV's and RVing so I'm glad you've got someone with some experience to help smooth out the beginner bumps. There's also a lot of great help on this forum so use the Search feature to see what's been discussed and ask questions. You'll get help.

I saw your question about Tires. That one gets discussed a lot so you can Search for various answers. There are several brands that seem to get the thumbs up, including Sailun and Goodyear Endurance.
