Sorry to hear about your misfortune. It was just a matter of time. Sounds like the fix won't be too extensive.

it's a shame they don't let you know about the tires and/or put the right ones on to start with. You'll be good now, however.

Dale,
I feel your pain, the exact same happened to me. I also swapped over to the G614 and don't regret it one bit.

Dale,
Contact Goodyear at 1-800-322-4682 (property damage claims) explain to them about the tire failures.
They will send you a form to fill out asking about the Marathons that failed. It is very possible that they will give you a partial reimbursement for your tires and pick up the repair costs.
They were very promp when I delt with them.

Dale,
Sorry to hear of the first blow out and then the second one just puts a crowning moment on the trip. Glad to hear you put on the G614's even though they were a pricey experience. Also hope the repair of the Monte won't be an arm and a leg too. Take care keep the wheels on the road and hope to meet up with you in the future!

Sorry to hear that. One of the first things I did after bringing the Monty home from the dealer was to ditch the Trailer Kings and get G614s. My next trip out was worry free.

$305 is a decent price for those tires and Goodyear may work with you on a reimbursement. They did me. You can now travel with less concern for the rubber on the road. Good luck with the repairs.

Mine came with Ranier ST tires made in Thailand. Are these in the same category as China Bombs? I do have a good TPMS with temperature monitoring after blowing a few sets of China Bombs on a previous double axle trailer. Too bad they took Michelin out of the ST tire business.

Just get rid of the ST Tires. Almost any LT tire will be much safer than the ST tires. JMHO

I have a hard time with that on my fixed income. I also do not remember but I also just paid almost a thousand dollars for a 5 year tire warranty. I cannot believe I did that but it makes changing them very expensive.

You need to check that warranty is most likely an insurance and as such the unused years are refundable. Was that something the RV Dealer sold you?

Glad you got the G614s. Now take my advise and make sure you replace them when they are 5 years old, regardless of how they look. Don't wait 6 and don't ask how I know!

Yes the Montana dealer snuck it in while the two of us were getting crabby it is Tredittire warranty on tires and rims. A very experienced get everything you can sales manager. No matther how good you think you are a good one can get you for something. I totally missed it and only noticed it when reviewing the manuals and paperwork and making a big manual. It has no cancellation clause. Oh well?

Yep, glad we bit the bullet and put a set of "Gs" on our new 3160 right off the bat. This camper weighs a good ton more than our last SOB. I barely got the tires replaced on that one in time. Didn't want to take any more chances with this one.
Don't roll the dice on them hot summertime roads!

Can I ask where you got that deal on the G614? I'm looking to replace my 5 Goodyear Marthons.
