What's this - Back of cabinet under TV
I am looking at a picture where I will be putting a fireplace in the spring. I didn't have a chance to take the cover off the metal plate at the back to determine whst it is..does anyone know?

Thanks
Ps. I should have said this cabinet is just under the big tv in the living room.
Your picture is too large per the MOC guidelines. Please reduce the size to no more than 600 X 800 pixels before re-posting. Thanks CRAFT-Guy

If your layout is like mine 3400rl it is a hole cover only in mine they didn't put a cover over it, just a big hole behind the fire place and as far as I can tell no insulation in the wall.

I have two covers like that in our 3000rk. But mine in in the "laundry " room and they are plastic access holes to plumbing.

Just a guess, it is a hole cover more than likely access to some electrical wiring since you don't have the electric furnace installed.

Quite possibly a cover for electrical hookups, or maybe even a subwoofer for the surround sound.

Behind the cabinet back is a space about 3 inches in depth. Keystone uses this space to route wires. My suggestion? Put in a Dimplex fireplace, remove the cover (so you can use it somewhere else, like in the kitchen cupboard when you have to replace the anti-siphon valve for the black tank), and enjoy the heat!
