What fuse powers the 5th wheel off your truck?

It sent power to the 5th wheel receptacle. I am pretty sure I learned about it here. I have a 2008 Silverado for my Montana. I had a 2004 Silverado and someone told me about it and I stuck the fuse in as it wasn't in there. I believe it might have even been a 40 amp fuse.

Thanks... Gary

In ours (2006) it is on tke top right corner of fuse box, located under hood of truck on drivers side. 40A.

Same for our 2007.

Thanks guys... I am putting in a backup camera on my new to me pickup truck and was looking for 12 volts near me as the new Boyo camera no longer has the power wire running with the camera wire so I was going to just grab nearby 12 volts. May opt to just ground it and run a hot wire up to the radio with the video cable so it's controlled by the key at this point but I still want to be able to power my Montana if ever needed.

Thanks...

Gary

FYI: GM normally puts a DUMMY fuse in the socket at the factory, even if it comes with the tow package. Looks the same as a regular 40 amp fuse and no mention of this in the owners manual.

Both my 05 and the 11 came with the 40 amp fuse installed, providing power to the 7 pin Rcpt.

On our 2008 Sierra, everything was there, but upon checking, we had no 12 volt power to the plug. Asked dealer, and he said there was a connection that had to be made up in the fuse box (fuse WAS in place) and they did it at no charge. Now have power to the plug. Apparently it does not come connected from the factory, although most everything is already there!

Haven't checked the power yet but will let you know. Fuse was missing but I put it in...
