I plan on using just a regular house dehumidifier. There are settings on it to which percentage you want the level to be, and once it reaches that point, it shuts off.

We use something called "Damp Rid". It is a container that holds a pellet type desicant that draws moisture out of the air and drops it into the bottom. When the bottom fills with water you empty it and add more pellets. It is avaiable at Wally World and works pretty good. We didn't want another electrical device in the trailer, nor have the room for one.

We use a small humidifier that when running we set on the desk in the rig. It is available at Wal-mart for around $50. Here is what we use: dehumidifier I do know that it works very well when we are using it.

Yes you can let them run, but you will need to use a drain hose or the tank will need to be drained. I now use one in your basement 7/24.

We don't leave ours on for that long but my wife's aunt does. She has the same unit as we do.
We tried many of the dehumidifiers on the market and they all were very loud. I bought a few and took them back because they either did not work or were so loud I could not even hear the TV over them. So I just started plugging them in at the store to see how loud they were.
When I heard the Soleus air dehumidifier run I did not think it was even working. I was amazed to see that it was.

That's weird - I've never seen you in my basement!

Richard, afre you at SPI yet. If it rains like last week down here (almost 4 inches in 2 days) along with cool, humid weather you will need a de-humidifer.

I was looking on Amazon this morning and they sell both the Soleus air 40 and 25 pint units. We have the 40 pint one for our house. I would think that the 25 pint would be plenty for a camper. Our 40 pint uses 2.9 amps while the compressor is running. That's nothing compared to other 40 pint units.
I see amazon also has units that are a heater, a/c, and dehumidifier all in one unit. I do not know anything about those. I would guess there must be a hose that goes to the outside to run the air conditioner.
