2006 Ford with up fitter switches

Those of you who have a 2006 Ford with the up fitter switches. Where are the ends located at. The book says behind the glove box. I couldn't find them there. Are they by the steering column. Want to hook up my c/b to one of them.

Well, mine is an '08, but the instructions were similar. Mine were up to the left of the steering column...up real high. A Bear to find, they are in a bundle with Black tape around them.

ronstan, They are located behind the fuse panel on the driver side just remove the 4 bolts holding the panel in and they are on the left top. The fuse panel in the glove box tells you what color wire is 30 or 15 amp. Easy job the wires have a lil black shink tube on them pull it off strip and connect. Ground close to what ever you hook up. They are the four switches marked aux 1-4 that sit down and to the right of the steering column. I have one wired to a set of led lights on the back of my truck..If I need extra light at night for any reason then I can flip the upfitter and be good to go. You might not have them as sometimes they were overlooked/ not ordered. Check them out at

MAMalody, the upfitter switches are (usually) factory installed switches used for auxillary purposes. This can be anything from aftermarket off road lights, fog lamps or anything else that you want to power. Eliminates the need to install toggle switches. There are 4 switches (with relays) 2 @10 amp and 2 @ 30 amp.

Remove the panel under the steering wheel, then remove the fuse box by removing the 4 bolts...you will see 4 orange wires with heat shrink end caps...The following color code indicates which wire corresponds with each switch:
Aux-1 Circuit No 1936 wire color: Orange/Lt. Green [30amp]
Aux-2 Circuit No 1933 wire color: Orange [30amp]
Aux-3 Circuit No 1934 wire color: Orange/Yellow [10amp]
Aux-4 Circuit No 1935 wire color: Orange/Lt. Blue [10amp]

For those of you that don't have the Upfitters in your 05-07 Ford, the kit can be purchased for about $90.00 Fairly simple installation. I use 3 of the 4 switches and they are awesome. If anyone needs info on where to buy this kit, let me know.

Tim Am curious as to what all you use your switches for. Was thinking of hooking up my C/b radio to one.

I have my color monitor (for rear backup camera) connected to one of the 10 amps, my "high idle" connected to the other 10 amp (for extended idle periods to prevent wet stacking) and a 400 watt inverter in the back for a dvd player, etc on a 30 amp switch, leaving 1- 30 amp left. The switches go in the little cubby hole next to the tow command if you have that.

I would suggest fusing all your loads with the proper size fuses, and not relying on the fuses for the upfitter switches. They may be too large for your loads, and may be too difficult to change.
I would rather change a fuse under the hood by the battery, than stand on my head in the factory fuse box.

We have the pressure pro tire monitor on #4 The rear view cam on #3 The CB on #2 #1 is unused.
