Any risk of an LT tire rubbing the trailer fender?
For members that went with LT tires did anyone run in to tire rubbing issues? I am replacing Maxxis St 235x80x16 tires with LT 235x85x16 Bridgestone Duravis 250 tires. I bought the tires from Costco and have to take the Monty to a tire shop to have the tires installed, so I'm wondering if I might have a tire rubbing issue. Our Monty is a 2010 3150RL.
Appreciate your thoughts.

I have an '07 Montana 3000Rk. I bought Bridgestone R-500 tires for it. I did make new fender struts to move the lower center of the fender out about an inch. As I recall the tires are about an 1/2 inch taller than the Marathons. There has been some rubbing above the tires, but I attribute that to the Mor-Ryde suspension.
I am more than pleased with the tires. Bill

As you can see from my signature, I have the same model and year Montana that you have. I also have Duravis R250s installed. Zero problems with tires and no tire rub anywhere.
Enjoy the peace of mind that comes with having quality tires on your Montana.

My 235 85 R16 Michelin LT's rub the bottom of the plastic fender between the tires just a bit on tight turns. Minor trade-off to be rid of the Marabombs.

Last Sept I installed the same Bridgestone Duravis Tire (LT 235x85x16) on our 2006 3650RK. Works like a charm. No interference. Very pleased with these tires. IMHO to this untrained observer, they appear to be of the same or similar construction as the Goodyear G614 and the same weight. But about $80 cheaper. (Thanks, Lonnie!)

I have the same size, except I bought the BF Goodrich Commercial TA's and yes, I have a little rubbing, but just some black marks, no damage.

Been running the Bridgestone Duravis 250 for a year now. If they rub (or the BFG's they replaced rubbed) it has not been much or caused any problems.

Put Firestone Transforce LTs on just after we bought our new/used Monty. Only rubbing issue was when I inadvertently overloaded the street side while we were at least at max gross, and that was only with the rear tire. Shifted some weight around and no problem.

Had the Bridgestone Duravis tires installed today at a tires shop. Tires seem to fit well and I'm looking forward to our first trip with them at the end of the month. Thank you for all the response that I received from the members that use LT tires.
