Air Conditioner ?

Last week we traveled to Moscow, Idaho with our 2011-3455SA. Hot days and only 30 amp service available. I read the instruction book, supposedly we could run on one air conditioner and turn one off with the thermostat. SO, I hooked up to the 30 amp with a 50 to 30 adapter cord, but when the air conditioner kicked on, both were running and promptly blew the pedestal breaker outside. I tried several times to get only one to run, but finally gave up and turned off the breaker marked AC...evidently both units are on the same breaker. In the process I also "fried" one leg of the adapter cord and ended up purchasing another new one...sorry for the long story, but I need some help and my dealer is NO help. Anyone had this problem before?
Thanks in advance.

I am not an electrician but I am positive each A/C has it's own circuit breaker! Each unit requires a 20 amp circuit. Two units on the same circuit is a non-starter. The labeling of each circuit breaker in the fuse box is notoriously inaccurate. Each circuit breaker should be (once again no guarantee) on different feeds of the two 50 amp legs.

You should get a 50 amp connection and test each circuit breaker to ensure you know what it controls.

You should also be able to control which one runs and which one is off at the thermostat. Since the AC's won't come on for two minutes after the thermostat is turned on, you have time to select one zone and turn it to the off position using the mode button. That's assuming of course that the new thermostats work somewhat similar to what was installed on ours in 2010.

Yep 2 circuit breakers and mine were marked wrong. The main AC and the washer/dryer were reversed.

lonnie, had that exact same problem on new 3700. After two days and being on the weekend so no dealer, I decided to reset. Suggest you look at your manual and do the same. Subsequently, I could then go through the steps to select "Off" for bedroom AC, which I could not do up to that point. Worked for me and I hope your experience will be the same.
