We are very new to RVing and have just completed our covered storage area where we will store our 5th wheel. It has a steep grade which becomes level at which point the steps to the RV are hitting the pavement. On the 2955 they are located in the rear. Can I have the trailer lifted an inch or so to eliminate this. Currently we are placing a 2X6 behind the tires to lift the steps and prevent further damage.

We put a two step stairs and use a portable step from CW and have not had any trouble since.

I didn't find the right width so I used 2 pieces of 1/2" square tubing to make up for the difference.

bandit,
I tore off a set of steps on the 08 2955 we had. When I replaced them I did a lot of searching on the web and discovered they came in different step rise. I think mine were 8". There may be 7" rise steps also. The 7" rise may give you more clearance.
