Continental tire recall on 08 Ford trucks Q..

Has anyone put in a claim on these recalled tires?
I got the form, sent it off, and haven't heard anything.
I called their phone number: dis-connected... not a good sign.

Lonnie, do you know anything about it?

On edit, I got this resolved, thanks for the help everyone.

Ozz,

Call 888-799-2168. Then press 1. You should get right through to the gal handling the recall.

Ozz, I do know about the recall, but I am not sure who's handling it. If the number Lee supplied doesn't get results, let me know. In the meantime I will see what I can find out about the claims process. You'd think, being a Continental dealer, I would have all the info at my fingertips, but they haven't told me anything.

Wow! I must have ESPN.. I got the letter back from in the mail today.
A bit frustrating, as they told me my Vin number indicated that my vehicle was not equipped with the tires. Ahh, yes they did come with my truck! Now, how do I prove it....
Everything I am involved with seems to be this screwed up for some reason.... Violins anyone???
Thanks Lonnie, I will see what my dealership has to say.

Ozz,

When I spoke to them I was told my tires weren't the correct serial number for the recall.

I bought my truck used and the previous owner had changed the rims and tires but gave me the original ones that came on the truck. I checked the serial numbers and all 4 tires including the spare qualify to be replaced! The link below should get you to the recall site.

We got the recall notice, called the dealer and took the truck in to them to check the tires. Three tires were the ones recalled (both front and the spare), the rear are not. The dealer is getting the replacements and will swap them out. The whole process has been easy for us.

We (at the dealership) have had fun getting the tires, have done one of the recalls and have two more vehicles to go. Biggest PIA is having to wait for tires to come in. They seem to come in one at a time every other day
