From new Monty order to delivery ?

While looking at Montanas at the dealer, he hinted that there would likely be a 12 week wait for delivery if we ordered. The units he had in stock didn't have options we wanted, sooooooo we wait. How long have members had to wait after placing their order for a new Monty?

As stated in another thread, I would say we will be looking at 4-5 weeks total when we finally take delivery. You must also factor in the transport time after the unit is built. I think 12 weeks is a bit much, but I don;t know about buying and ordering in Canada which I assume you are doing??

Thanks Bingo. You were fortunate with the timing of your order and I was tempted to pose this question with my previous comment to you about how helpful forum members are, but didn't want to detract from your post. I did do a search but didn't get any related results. Probably the way I configured the search. I'm still learning the ropes on this forum. We signed the invoice August 21st. The order should have been placed a few days later.

Your dealer should be able to do an inquiry with the Keystone-Montana plant and they can tell the dealer the approximate date the unit will come off of the line. Then the dealer should be able to tell you their typical transport time and the expected delivery date.

We waited for about three weeks, but ours was a Montana already ordered by the dealer which just happened to have all of the options we wanted.

We ordered our 2011 3465 on June 7th and it arrived at Northgate RV the 27th of July. Northgate needed a couple days to check everything out and so far, everything is fine. I retorqued the axle ubolts and all of them were less than the 65lbs. I also regreased the bearing buddies and they were ok. My only regret is the Marathon tires. We'll be headed South soon to enjoy it...

Ours was delayed almost two weeks due to bad weather across the mountan states. Even with that ours took about 9 or 10 weeks. A lot depends on the time of year you order.

We closed our deal on a 2011 3455SA on August the 18th and our dealer in Southern Ontario called today to tell us our rig has arrived. We are heading down on Friday to take possession of our new rig. Wife is so excited!!!!!!

We are at the Escapee rally and have been over to the service center several times setting up the driving school and the factory tour times. We are told that they are now producing 19 Montana's a day. that is up from the last couple of years so the wait may be shorter, Ours was 6 weeks when they were building 22 a day.

Well as it turns out, our order would have been placed August 24th. We spoke to the dealer yesterday to ask about a possible production date for our unit. Their answer: "Hasn't anyone called you yet? It came in September 9th." Sheesh! Because they're very busy in the service department, they didn't expect to get to it for PDI for another week or so. We're hoping we can transfer all our gear from the trade and be ready for our next planned trip October 2nd. That'll be the officail shake down. To top it off, I was succesful at getting my 'A' licence this morning. Now I'm legal.

We ordered ours the first week in February and it didn't arrive until The first of May. They told us it would take about 12 weeks. That was back when they were still having snow. It took about 4 days to deliver it to Ca. from Indiana.
