On The Lighter Side

So this morning, I'm sitting here playing on the computer, and watching "some" news items, when Earlene walks out with a jar of something to see what was on the television.

She dabs her finger into the jar and touches her forehead, then she dabs her finger into the jar and touches her chin, and again for one cheek, and then the other.

Now this is symbolic, if you can follow the "finger" event(s).

So I said, as if she were saying it, "Dear Lord! Please let this work!"

I wonder what I'm fixing myself to eat today.

We can get ourselves into trouble without even trying.

It was left over tacos tonight, and I had to fix everything myself.

Now all, it was all in fun and she chuckled at it. I thought it was a funny worth posting. We have been married 49 years, and little things like that are on the funny side for us. But I really did say it.

I always, always blame the Devil. Sometimes though it looks like I have horns on the top of my head. Hmmm! Maybe it's from the frying pan or rolling pin.

Thanks.

Ha ha!

I wish I had thought of this. It's from my son, a chip off the old block:

"Also, when we took mom's Lincoln for a spin I pointed out to Gemma that Mom has a personalized steering wheel. On the front of the steering wheel is, "Airbag". Ask Mom if that cost extra."
