National Parks

For those of you that have a love for our National Parks, as we do, there is going to be a special on the PBS station this Sunday, September 27. You will have to check with your local station for the time in your area. Its a film by Ken Burns, "The National Parks, America's Best Idea". We'll be watching, and if you are interested in watching, we hope you enjoy!!

Can't wait ... it's on my calendar and the dvds are ready to record all three parts!

Thanks for reminding/letting folks know ... if it's a Ken Burns project, you know it will be excellent.

Thanks for the "heads up," Renee and Michael. We don't get a daily paper out here in the boonies, so unless someone alerts us to a special or something, we generally miss it. We're headed to Yellowstone with 4 of the grandkids this weekend, but I'll set the DVR to record all the upcoming episodes.

We enjoyed meeting you at 7 Feathers and hope to see you again down the road at another rally!

Carolyn

Vicki, we agree, thanks to BB TX, we also didn't realize they are going to show all six episodes. We thought they were only going to show one as an enticement to purchase the six disc set (priced at $99.99 DVD or $ 129.99 Blue-ray)through shopPBS.org (we received the PBS catalog in the mail). We also receive the quarterly National Parks magazine, which is very interesting.

Carolyn, we also enjoyed meeting you both. We're sure somewhere down the road we'll meet up again! Have fun in Yellowstone!

Michael and Renee, good to see you posting. You've been missed. The first night of the series was the final night of the Goshen rally. Rather than trying to watch the remainder without first seeing the first installment, Vicki is recording all six. We'll hopefully watch them all this weekend.

Also, for those that don't know, start looking at your quarters next year as the Mint is going to honor each park on the back. They are doing 5 each year like they did the states quarters.
