New Montana owners ready to hit the road

Hello! My wife and I just bought a 2020 Montana 3854BR. We are in the process of selling our house and downsizing our life. We are still a few years away from retirement but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. We live in western Washington and I’m happy to be able to leave this crazy place behind. Looking forward to getting on the road and seeing more of this beautiful country

Congrats on your new Montana 3854BR and your upcoming retirement. I hope it is daylight that you are seeing and not a locomotive headlight. I am in the same position, probably a little further through the work tunnel as I can see the end of the tunnel. We also are trying to finish getting our house and yard ready to sell. Good luck on your downsizing and it will be good to be adjusted to that size of a home before starting to travel. Once you emerge from the tunnel and have the time to start seeing our beautiful country you will truly be starting your new life. Congratulations from Eastern Washington.

Welcome to the forum! Don’t know your RV camping experience but recommend you take a few short trips to discover and get all your warranty work done before any big trips. Lots of information here on the forum. I am basking in the light as I made it to retirement. Wish I could have done it in my 40’s, lol. Study up and safe travels!

Congrats on your new purchase and eminent full timing adventures. Yes, there are other parts of the country that are not as mess up right now as Washington State. Hope you can discover them all some day.

We did the same thing seven months ago and no looking back! I work from home and the wife is a travel nurse. Did a short stint in the driveway for A month, then sold the house.

Welcome aboard! Got questions? Ask away and get answers from the experts-- actual Montana owners that have more than likely had the same question come up somewhere along the way. Think about attending some of the Regional Rallies along with next year's National Rally in Goshen, IN the birthplace of your Montana. You'll get to meet some of your fellow Montana owners that are on or read this Forum and enjoy some good time with them too. Again Welcome Aboard!

Welcome and congratulations. We have a 2019 3854BR. Love the layout. At night if we want to watch different TV’s I go in the BR. We each have our space. A marriage saver.

We sold our home a few months ago and built out an apartment in our sons house to use as a home base. About 14 months from retirement and can't wait to do some long distance trips to see the USA. But Arizona will always be home.(at least during the winter)

Congratulations on your purchase and your upcoming retirement. We don't own an RV yet but I am planning on buying one. We don't have a pickup truck either. So I am now joining forums like this along with watching YouTube videos to learn. I look forward to hearing new insights from you as you continue on your journey.

Hello Arlan
My wife and I are doing the exact same thing here in Northern Nevada (Carson City) except I retired in July at 62.
Back in June we bought a like new condition 2018 3810MS.
As like you, we are so ready to get out of this area we have been in since 1985.
Best of luck with the sale of your home.

Arian congratulations and welcome to the family. We just sold our house in Minnesota and are almost at the end of that tunnel. We bought a 2014 3582RL and have been going on practice runs around the USA for three years now. Enjoy your rig and safe travels to you and your family.
