Pulled the trigger
Our planned summer trip is getting closer and I was getting more worried about the 3725 and the Goodyear Marathon tires currently installed on it. I was going to make the 6000 mile trip down to Florida across to Texas up to Colorado and slowing making our way back to New Hampshire carefully monitoring the tires, but if I am worried now, what about our trip?
Discussed with my wife and she asked if there is anything we need to worry about with the current tires. I said if on our old SOB, no but it was 6,000 lbs lighter with the same type, size and loading range of tire. We may be able to make the trip, but the risk in my opinion is high and if I miss anything soon enough and a tire fails.....damage to the Montana and possibility of personal injury(worst case) would just not be worth the risk.
She agreed if I would be more comfortable and would make the trip better for me, go for it! So I just ordered 4 Sailun 637 tires delivered to my house for $710.00. I have been doing research on this brand for now over a year and have not found a negative review yet. I guess the only negatives are that I see is the available is nothing like the Goodyear comparative and they will raise the height of the Monty by 1/2 inch. I can deal with these two item much more easily than having a Marathon fail or not fail on me.
The price does not include mounting or balancing, however being a IA teacher, having connections with the automotive instructor at our school, I just need to purchase the metal valve stems. Our school has all state of the art equipment and will mount and road force balance (which in my opinion, is overkill) my trailer tires. So I am so happy that very soon I will say goodbye Marathons!

Sailun tires are made in China. Being made in China is not the issue in my opinion. What bothered me with the Marathons are they were E rated for 3420 pounds. They are just too marginal for the weight of my 3725. My last SOB had over 60,000 miles running GY Marathons. Ran two sets, replaced after 5 years each time. That fiver was 6000# lighter.
If you take a look at the company, you will see that they are a quality company with all the certs and ratings. Reviews that I have seen have all been positive. That being said, we will see how they do this summer.

I say if you feel safe and satisfied, then you are all set. Sounds like you did your homework. Please keep us all advised on the performance of these tires.

Good move. The Marathons were fine on my sub-10k Cougar, too. They're a big gamble on these behemoths. Money well spent.
