Since Ozz named it Mickey, I hope you gave it a proper funeral.

We have a cat that is curious so the traps and glue strips can be interesting. We use a mixture of cornmeal and plaster paris. The mouse eats it and looks for a water source. The plaster paris sets up in the tummy and dies. Kind of embalming inside out.

I have heard that once you catch a mouse or rat in a spring trap that no other rodent will try to get food off of that same trap. Might as well just throw it away and get another one.

About "poisoning," if they die in the wall you have one smelly problem for several months.

Dave, was that your cookie? Be careful. I would not want you to be sitting on the couch, "scratching" yourself, fall off and break a body part!!!! (John told me about it!)

I have caught mice in the same trip time and time again...often without changing the peanut butter. Last winter I seemed to have a whole family move in when I wasn't checking and it took me several days of checking each day before I got them all.
