Favorite Sign Along the Road

One of the things we enjoy as we travel is finding interesting signs along the road. (This must have something to do with our early exposure to the famous Burma Shave signs when we were kids). While looking through our log book we noted an interesting entry made as we exited the Indiana Turnpike. An orange warning sign (the only one like it we can ever remember seeing) said VEHICLES ENTERING EXCITING AREA.
We were a bit puzzled--until we entered a road construction area with super narrow lanes, two way traffic, tons of construction equipment and incredible bumps which we assume were reason for the construction. Yes, we were excited--but not in the way we had anticipated.

Another interesting sign found in a grocery store lot also amused us.
"BEWARE WAYWARD CARTS"

And this in a fast food drive-thru "UNDER 12 ONLY". Realized in time that this meant height not age. Oh duh.

This one left us somewhat confused "UNPARKED CARS WILL BE TWOED". This one did not "VIOLATERS WILL BE PERSECUTED".

This also brought a smile "GARAGE SALE > TWO BLOKES".

Enough already--somebody else's turn.

Our favorite signs so far have been held by "bums".

One was in front of a Walmart and his sign read, "Why lie, I need a beer".

The other was a "bum" at an intersection and his sign read, "Donations accepted for alcohol research".

After the damage to downtown Kissimmee last week, someone put a sign on the old movie theater marque that read, "Now Playing....Gone with the Wind"

A sign in a department store restroom read, "If you are not satisfied with the condition of this restroom our employee's will react immediately". I found that a little scary!

OHHH, I remember those Burma Shave signs! Those were terrific. Nowadays we like the God signs, too. Really clever. But my all time favorite roadsign is actually an official highway sign in Pennsylvania. Sure wish I had been able to stop to take a picture. Sorry, it's not one I can state in this forum.
