Newport, Oregon

We'll be volunteering for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service at Yaquina Head starting next week until the end of August. We'll be staying at the Hatfield Marine Science Center. Give a shout if you're in the area.

Hey, Kerry! Looking at your signature I see a new truck! Did you get rid of the MDT? We are still loving the Big Sky and Oregon, although at this moment it is windy and raining. Hope it is all done by tomorrow since it will be a work day outside on the deck with the scopes and binoculars, but we don't have to be out there if it's pouring. Come see us! There is an RV park right across the road and right on the harbor. You would love it.

Bob and Pam,
We will be headed that direction in a coupe of weeks and would like to checkin with you folks. Are you staying at the Hatfield Marine site or in the commercial CG right across the road from the center. We usually stay in the commercial park. It's pretty nice since they upgraded a few years back. When we first stayed there it was nothing but a parking lot with hookups. You gotta love the wind to stay at that park! Dennis and Mary Kay

Bob & Pam, The weather is the same down here in Bandon. However today is an inside the lighthouse day for us. We have enjoyed our time as lighthouse hosts so much that after we finish at Umpqua Lighthouse in June. We have signed up to be hosts at Cape Blanco Lighthouse for July. We still may make it up your way in August.

Grant,
We hope to see you guys too. I've got a Bandon WebCam that I check out from time to time. Sure like that part of the world. Glad you are enjoying your volunteer assignment. See you soon. Dennis and Mary Kay

Dennis, since we are USFWS volunteers, we are staying at the Hatfield Marine Science Center housing area right across from the South Beach Marina RV Park. We would love to meet/see you when you come through here. Let us know when you get a little closer and I'll send a PM with our phone number.

Grant, so glad you are liking your lighthouse duty. It is lots of fun to participate in these kinds of activities.
