I use gmail.com for my email server. Today I discovered that Google has an outstanding (in my opinion) electronic calendar program and it is free. It is fairly intuitive and easy to use. I planned out and calendared our trip to North Carolina from mid December through Mid January. Then I added all my family's birthdays, siblings, children, and grand children. Next came all the appointments we have until Mid December. Lastly, I imported all the national holidays for 2009 with 2 or 3 clicks.

About halfway through the process, I sent the calendar to Dianna. She opened it on her computer quickly. Later when I had finished adding more info, she opened it again on her computer and SHAZAM, my calendar was updated on her computer. Since the calendar is stored online it is accessible from any computer you use. From my stand point, I can highly recommend this electronic calendar program.

I agree, we have been using it for a while now. It allows us to coordinate family activities and keep track of shift workers shifts. Very handy. Google Documents is also very handy, essentially it is a somewhat stripped down version of MS Office. It is handy that all these programs are all saved at Google and can be accessed anywhere on any computer that can connect to the internet.

Love that calendar, and love Photos area too. Love those gmail email accounts, I believe I have 3, err, was that 4, noo, maybe 3?? Al is NOT a email junkie, he does not want to learn anything about it, hates typing, but, LOVES his gmail account.

Believe you can print that calendar as well, parts, weeks, months, days, in case you need a hard copy for some reason. I love having the holidays and the moon phases.

Another feature I like is the ability to have the calendar send me an email reminder at a date or time I wish. I needed to make a doctor appointment. I tried to do so last Friday. You guessed it, closed. Had the calendar email me to call today. It was a good thing, I had forgotten all about it.

If you put the address in for the appointment, the next time you bring it up, it gives you a map. Cool stuff.
