Shower pan

Is anyone having a problem with their shower pan? On our 08 3400 water stands along the outside edge of the shower pan and does not drain. The trailer is level. It apperars there is not enough pitch on the shower pan to the drain.

In order for our shower to drain, the shower pan must be close to level...that makes the trailer not level. We opt to level the trailer and use a squeegee to help the shower water to the drain.

You may need to check you level again. On occasion I fail to get mine as level as I should. And when I do, sometimes I have the same drainage problem if it is unlevel in the wrong direction. If I get it level, it drains fine.
I used a 3 foot level on the kitchen floor initially to check the front/back and side/side level and attached my small bubble levels on the outside of the Monty.

you might have an uneven pan, I know, DUH!!!! However you might be able to level it by accessing the panel in front and installing some blocking material to raise up one side. OLDGUARD did this and it worked fine for him.

We don't get anal about leveling so it happens to us on ocassion. We just use our feet and push the water to the drain, then let it dry.

Steve, I had my drain shored up underneath, as the flexing was causing leaks at the drain. However, when I got it back from the dealership, the drain was actually shimmed higher than the sides - no matter how level I was - which created the problem you describe. I took it back to my dealership (during a second trip for additional warranty fixes). They were able to brace up the outsides of the shower pan also, which prevented the pooling. Never had a problem since...

We don't have a 3400, but we use the "foot squeegee" method in our shower too. It doesn't seem to matter how level we get the rig, water always wants to go to the lowest corner....go figure!!!

Just wondered Icehouse, if it would'nt be easier for you to just let the extra water freeze and then just pick up that chunk and throw it outside? (Just joking, after seeing the photo of your
rv in the snow I could'nt pass it up.)

I always wondered why they did not use a shower pan with channels built in and a drain lower than the floor. It would seem like a simple cure for all RV's.
