campgrounds near Phoenix

I know this is early, but a guy can dream. I am sitting here in Iowa freezing my **** off and planning to retire at the end of the year. We have friends that have a condo in Phoenix and hope to go there in Feb. 2008. I would love campground recommendations for that area especially the southern part of Phoenix.

Thanks, Leonard

Hi Leonard,
Dreaming is half the fun. We don't know a lot of the parks in Phoenix, but Desert Shadows RV Resort in N.Phoenix is a nice park. We have been spending the month of Feb. here, and the people are great. Their phone number is 1-800-595-7290
Also, Palm Creek RV Park and Golf Course in Casa Grande is a great park.
Good luck to you.

Sorry Leonard can't help with CG south but we did stay at Pleasant Harbor Rv Resort last summer, GREAT PLACE! Big pool, all paved, gated, Landry, about 1/2 hour north of town. If this helps they are Passport, I know it so helped our stay.

One of the hard things about finding a campground in Phoenix is most have so many restrictions, we were either too young, trailer too big, too many dogs and too big.
I would have to go back through my notes but we stayed at a RV part behind a Ramada, quiet nice little place. Not a lot of amenities but had laundry, showers and meeting room. The spots nearest the hotel has WiFi. The price for the area was resonable.
