New Montana Owners
My wife and I just ordered a new 2006 Montana 3475. This was one of the new Montanas with the curved front end cap & MOR/Ryde Suspension system. We are going to be towing it with a 2006 Chev Silverado 2500HD Durmax Diesel Crew Cab. We have two children and will be using it for camping and letting the kids see the US from a new perspective. We are SO new at this and everything seems a bit overwhelming. Fortunately, God has seen to place some great friends in our lives who are full timers and post to this forum. We will be scouring this message board for pointers, advice and lessons learned!

Welcome Reed Family from a Reed Family in Florida. I think you will enjoy the club. It has a lot of information and opinions from a lot of experienced people. Probably whatever you do, and wonder, "Why did I do that," has already been done before, or wonder if it is the right thing to do, scan, the MOC. A lot of Good People here with a lot of Good Info. Enjoy

John and Dawn,
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new coach. RVing/Camping is one of the best things you can do with your children. We have many happy memories with our children growing up and now are making new ones with them and our grandchildren. God bless you as you start your new adventures.

Just sold my 35' Dutch Star motorhome and am planning on buying a "Montana". I've been checking this forum and have found out some valuable information. I have a question about the "arctic package". Does that keep the 5er any warmer in the winter or does it just protect the tanks and pipes? Also, are 5ers in general and Montana's specifically easy to keep warm inside when it's cold outside?
I've had all kinds of "air leaks" in the motorhome and just can't keep it warm inside when the outside temp is in the 30's or 40's.
Thanks in advance for any information..
Hank from Wyoming (retired cop of 33 years)
