New Member looking for Florida RV Park
WE BOUGHT A 5 TH WHEEL 3475
MAY 05 AND ARE HEADING TO FLORIDA FEB. 07 FOR 3 WEEKS . WE WOULD LIKE
TO BE
CLOSE TO THE OCEAN OR GULF MID-STATE SOUTH. ANY GOOD PARKS OR INFO.

As this is the height of the snowbird season, trying to find an RV park in Florida in February could be difficult at best.
We are in Avalon RV Park in Clearwater just 6 miles from the Gulf. Not sure what they may have available but I do know they had at least one cancellation. You can call them at 1-800-300-2996. They don't have a web site. Not sure it would help but you can tell them that Glenn in site 129 told you to call.

Welcome Dave and Linda, congratulations on your new coach. As Glenn states most rv parks are full, however with hard searching I am sure you will find something. Good luck.

Take a look at this link ( http://campgroundreviews.com/) and click on the state of Florida to get information on campgrounds that you can call and see if they have sites available.

We are at Kountree Kampinn in Naples, which is in extreme Southwest Florida. We are located 8 miles from Marco Island which is on the Gulf. Like the others, don't know what the availability is but here is the website which has the phone number: www.kountreekampinn.com
The park is an older one, but we really love it here.

Dave and Linda, Give Avalon a try cause we are there now and leaving for the month of Feb to head to the Keys and then to Naples for the month of Feb. Very friendly park, and be sure to bring your bicycles. They take a weekly group ride on the Pinellas Trail near here, and you can get to the nearest shopping places on your bike! Good luck!
