50 amp female to 30 + 15 male pigtail

I know this has been discussed to some degree before, but AdventureRV.net is advertising a 50 amp female to 30 amp plus 15 amp male dogbone/pigtail. They claim you can get 45 amps to your trailer with this in a CG that only has 30 amp plus 15 amp hookups. What say you?

If the CG has a GFCI plugs on there 15/20A circuit, this will not work.

By code, all 15/20A outside circuits must be GFCI. I'm guessing that there are not many CG's out there that are not outfitted with GFCI outlets...

You might still find some older parks that haven’t upgraded to GFCI outlets, but probably not many. Probably not enough to justify the purchase. I would think parks would have some liability concerns if they haven’t updated to GFCIs.

It was an interesting idea about 15 or more years ago and I actually had one and used it, particularly at state campgrounds. Then gfi's took over and I was lucky to find someone who still wanted to buy it.
