Truck Bed Liner on lower panels.

I have a 2014 Montana 3155RL. The Front (by the Hitch) and the lower panels get a lot of rock and dirt marks and dings. Back in the 70's and 80's they use to put a bed liner type material on the lower panels of cars to protect from Road damage. I was thinking of putting that on my 5th Wheel to keep it looking fresh. I have seen people that put Diamond Plate on the front and some have some sort of coating on the Lower panels. I was just wondering what if anything any of you have done. Good experience? Bad Experience?
Help with resale? Hurt Resale?

Thanks for any input.

We had the spray in bed liner installed on our 2013 3402 lower front panels. It works very well however a large stone coming back at 65 70 MPH will leave a mark.

LineX sells a product that color matches almost any color. It’s made by DuPont. I always use it for pickup bed liners. It’s on my 08 Ford and still looks like new on the places that it isn’t wore from carrying steel in the bed.

I recently saw a legacy that had that type of material sprayed on the front panel, assume it was factory applied?. I just got a 2021 F350 and it has color matched “rubberized” paint (chip guard) on the very bottom of the fenders and rocker panel areas.

If you want to DIY it, I recommend a product called Upol Raptor Liner. Tough and tintable. Lots of videos on YouTube showing different applications. Relatively easy to apply after prep. For any spray-on product, the toughest part is removing any trace of silicone, or the product won’t stick.
