Retract the slides and the landing gear before adding fluid. Bring the level up to about 1/2" from the fill hole. Adding fluid while everything is extended is a recipe for a sloppy mess in the front compartment.

For the jacks and slide do you use AW 32 ? What is in there now looks clear with a yellow tent. Jerome

Per Lippert, if your fluid is red, refill with Dexron III or Mercon V transmission fluid, if your fluid is clear or amber, refill with AW32 hydraulic oil.
With everything retracted, fill to .25-.50" of the top of the reservoir.

While you are in there, consider adding one of the recommended fluids to reduce the popping associated with stiction. Here is a link to the Lippert recommendation.

Has anyone used KUBOTA tractor hydraulic fluid as an additive to resolve the popping noise.
I ask as I have on hand an ample supply. The general information on the container says it’s compatible with Caterpillar T O 2 fluid. I realize Kubota fluid is not listed by Lippert however the compatibility information on the container caught my eye.
people have used caterpillar fluid for the popping noise so I’m just thinking. Which might be dangerous, ha ha.
Any ideas??

TN, I'd personally stay with what is recommended and not go outside of those fluids.

I'd call Lippert

X2 what Jeffba said...but I bought a quart of Maxima fork oil from a nearby motorcycle shop for $9 or so...but if you have a bunch of kubota oil on hand then a call to Lippert might help.

Now I have to go check mine. Aren’t there high/low level marks on the side of the hydraulic oil container?

My hydraulic oil container has a Lippert decal with "Fill Line Here" in small print about an inch below the fill port. Fill to that level with all slides in and leveling system retracted.

The top line/statement on the LCI decal just below the line that you drew says something to the effect "Fill to this point"...
