Norcold 2118X refrigerator kinked drain hose

WE have a Norcold 2118X 18 cf refrigerator. The water drain tray is located inside the refrigerator section. The tray slides into a track and the hose connects to it. Unfortunately the connection on the tray goes straight out the back and the hose has to turn to fit onto the tray causing it to have a major kink not allowing water to drain. Any suggestions. Thanks

Just allow the hose to run out through any opening on the vent cover instead of into that tiny cup. If evaporation doesn't keep the cup from overflowing, you will allow water to flow down to whatever is below.

JEROME are you saying the kink is inside the frig from the drain tray or outside the frig in the back where it goes into the small drip pan? If inside is there any way to raise that end of the catch pan in the frig to get rid of the kink?

We came up with a repair solution for the kinked drain line. We glued a 3/8" sharkbite push to connect 90 to the tray. We used proflex Rv caulking that we had left over. Once it set up we cut the kink out of the drain tubing and it went in the 90 and all problems solved. Works perfectly. We have step by step pictures but need someone to tell us how to attach them to this thread. Thank you Jerome & Judy

Posting pictures here on the MOC isn't that difficult once you know the process.

Go to https://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...ad.php?t=70323 and read posts #8 and #25.
