Dometic 9100 power awning repair

I need a bit of advice. My right side end cap (the angle piece that connects the roller shaft to the arm) broke. So I removed the entire awning. I was able to get the end cap. I think I have lost the torsion in the roller and need to know the proceedure to wind it up before reinstalling the awning. Also how is the motor adjusted to open and close the proper amount? Thanks for anyones help

I went to the site and read it. A lot of good info. It does mention using their special too to apply tension. It is a crank. I am wondering if I can substitute something else to crank up the spring. How many ft lbs of torque is required. I think I could bolt a piece of angle iron to the end cap similar to the way the crank is mounted and do the same thing. It needs to be turned 11 times and then pinned in place. Thank you for replying.
