Sheet metal repair

Does anyone know how to remove/replace the sheet metal at the back of the rig? I apparently hit something (never felt anything) and it tore off the reel hatch cover, clearance light and bent the sheet metal. I found replacement metal and parts through trekwood and plan to do the repair myself. I need to know how the sheet metal is attached and how I'd go about making this repair. Thanks

There's a shadow on the dent but you can see it broke off the hatch cover and clearance light.

To be honest, I haven't done this, but from what I remember from those unfortunate enough to have, it isn't hard. The horizontal plastic strip covers the screws holding the panel. Cur the sealant away from the cover and it should pop off exposing the screws.

I am sure an experienced repair member will be along in the morning to confirm or refute my description.

This high speed video was posted by watsonjones a few days ago to an older thread about “50 amp cord reel not working”. Even though the video goes fast you can see the basic process for removing and reinstalling that piece of J-mold sheet metal. I have not looked for a replacement piece thru Trekwood or the other usual sources, but you could take that piece to a sheet metal shop and have the exact piece fabricated for replacement. In the video - the sheet metal removal and replacement looks fairly straight forward. I had a harder time following what the guy was doing to the cord reel.
