How to bleed a dry propane system?
So my new (to me) 2018 Montana had empty propane bottles I removed and had them filled. Because of previous experience with an oil-less deep fryer, I know about the “turn the gas on too fast issue”. So I installed the newly filled bottles. I painfully and slowly opened the valves and the gauge shows green. However, nothing I do seems to let me light my range or oven. A friend even suggested turning the valves off and releasing the pressure by loosening the hoses, (which I did) and slowly, again, recharged the lines with no “pop” from the valves. His next suggestion was to start the furnace, which I did and hot air started blowing in a few short minutes. Still no luck at the stove top. How can I bleed the lines to get propane to the burners?

Open one burner on your stove top and hold a lighter to the burner. You should see the flame of the lighter dance from pressure in the line. When the propane finally gets there it will ignite the burner. When we bring our unit out of storage it seems to take forever, (couple of minutes) to bleed the line to the stove.

Same here. Let that stove run until it lights. Afterwards, light off other gas appliances.

If you open a burner valve and can hear air coming out, or see the flame on a propane match moving when held to the burner, the burner will eventually light.
After that the burners will light quickly.

I do my furnace first (first after the tanks), then the water heater (get air out of main line) and then the stove. Also, the furnace and water heater will retry until they light or fault. If fault, shut off and on and they go again. I don't need to stand with a lighter so I have time to open a beer!

I do the stove first so the WH, furnace, and fridge don't fault. Not saying I have ever tried it, but I have heard you can do a lighter and a beer at the same time. HaHa

I had the same issue when we bought our 5th wheel last year. Filled the tanks and couldn't get anything to work. On mine i had to get the stove to work before the furnace would ignite. It does take a long time to get gas to the burners. Once i had the stove working everything else worked fine.

Ditto! I sometimes try to light my outdoor kitchen stove first, as that is the longest run. Usually when that lights everything else will light. Otherwise, I just let the cooktop purge until my lighter lights the burner. Sometimes takes a while but it eventually lights.

Anoyher that does it via the stove burner - one bottle at a time. Then light off the HW heater and the furnace. The fridge will follow. Then there are those two low buck OE pressure regulators that seem to have a short life span that, if no joy could need a replacement.......
