Recliner/Rockers

What are your feelings about the rockers in the new Monty 3400's. We can't decide shether to keep the OEM stuff, or Put in our Berkline wallaways. Ours don't rock, and DW like rockers. Your opinions would be greatly appreciated!!

Rick,

It's all personal preferences, but if you need them to rock you may already have your answer.

To me, the factory ones are just dandy - even more comfortable in our 2007 than they were in 2003. Fast asleep in

The only problem I am having with the OEM's is having to manhandle them away from the window to fully recline. Then have to manhandle the dang things back for the daughters to sleep on the sofa bed. I seem to recall someone suggesting removing the rubber feet (this is definitely on the to-do list). I, like Brad, do find the chairs comfortable judging by my mid-race Sunday afternoon nap yesterday. Ha!!
Accepting all suggestions on easing the moving process (Suggestions to have DW move them will NOT BE CONSIDERED!! I am currently still on the good Hubby list and am trying to maintain my position at least until Summer!!!!)

Check out Ozz's mods where he put wheels on his chairs. I haven't been able to open ours up to install the wheels, but that is on my todo list this spring. But even removing the rubber from the ring will help a whole lot!

I realy like laying back in our new OEM recliners. They are very comfortable and I have no problem falling asleep in them,

BUT, DO NOT

lean back too far. The other night I was layed all the way back and sound asleep when all of a sudden the recliner went over backwards. Lorraine should have had a camera as there I lay on the back of the recliner with my feet straight up in the air. Now I'm a little timid about kicking back all the way.

Oh, Glan I can just picture you now! My rocker also has a couch monster that lies in wait to capture me and trap me down so I can't get up for a couple of hours. Oh camping is so relaxing.

I agree with Brad - the recliner/rockers in our 2007 3400 are MUCH more comfortable than those in our 2004 3670. They definitely pass my sleep test, and that's saying something. Dave can sleep darn near anywhere! I agree that they are heavy and hard to move around - may have to Ozz-mod (like the new term?) them or something. Glenn, will keep in mind not to recline all the way back. Must have been a hearty snore that pushed you back one more silly milimeter!

Not the biggest or highest quality, but they are fine.

Ever since we moved the couch to the back window and the recliners over by they dinette table we no longer have to move them to recline. Have plenty of room.
This is only my opinion and is not intended to offend anyone.

I don't know how big you need them but they certainly fit my 315 pound, 6 foot frame quite comfortably. As far as quality, they are 100% better than the 2 we got in our 04 2955. Only time will tell how long they last.

I like mine! Don't like chairs with foot stools they get in the way and no place to store them.

I agree with Brad and Glenn. I like the recliners in our 07 way better than in the 05. Our slide out is a bit bigger for both recliners, we can turn the whole recliner around while sitting in them and not hit into window or wall. ....
Glenn I will keep in mind about not leaning all the way back....

We bought 2 chairs made by benchmaster furniture and they are leather and foot stools like a dymanic chair of 1800.00 each but only pd 460.00 something each and they have the bigger mens model and gals type to match

we got them in ft myers , fl at RPG Unlimited but they don't answer the phone tonight but i will check it out tuesday

to see them on line go to www,benchmasterfurniture.com and look up the monterey #7016 and the Belmar #7249 to get a look at them

i will try to get a phone # and address tomorrow but you should be able to but them from any small furniture store ,, call around your city to find as the factory did not give me retail outlets

We have ordered 2 Flexsteel Euro recliners for our new Monty. My wife has knee and hip problems and these where the most comfortable and easy to get out of. They should arrive about the sametime as the Monty. Also you can use the footstools as extra seat if need them for company

Cheryl and I both can sleep comfortably in our OEM recliners (2007). When they wear out, I will probably replace with the same OEM.

Just received my 3400 yesterday, the recliners are not to bad, but they are both the same. You would think the MAN'S recliner would at least have a place for the REMOTE!!!

To be honest, I love the recliners that came with our 07. I have dibs on the one nearest the fridge...now if I can only figure out a way to change the door swing on the fridge to make it more convenient to get my beverages (ok, beer).

The recliners in our 2005 2955 model are really comfortable, but are heavy and awkward to move around. If you want to fully recline in them, you have to pull them away from the back window quite a way and then they are stuck out in the middle of the entranceway. We have on order a new 2008 3400RL and the salesman told us that he was 99% sure that the new model was equipped with wall-away recliners. I sure hope so. Wall-away chairs make much more sense to me.

Helen put those round sliders under the recliner so she can move it around. They are not exactly the highest of quality as ours are unraveling along the seam on the rear side. Did not have time to correct that issue but Keystone said they would make it right when we are at the Rally in Sept.
