SKYLIGHT

THE SKYLIGHT IN THE BATHROOM GENERATES A LOT OF HEAT IN OUR UNIT. WE HAVE PUT UP THE SOLAR SHIELDS WHICH HAS HELPED SOME. IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY TO INSULATE THEM LIKE THE SQUARE VENT PADS (NOT SURE WHAT THEY ARE CALLED). I ALSO HAVE SCRATHES ON THE PAINT OF THE SKYLIGHT FROM VELCROING MY SKYLIGHT. CAN THEY WE REPAINTED?

THANKS

I had a problem in the winter with the cold so I cut a peice of 4" foam to fit the shape of the skylight and got some white plastic from Wal Mart and sprayed glued it to the foam used twe sided tape on the edges to hold it in. it kept falling out because it is sloped on the edges. I als made the same for my two roof vents, they stay in with pressure they are not sloped. sure saved some heat in the 16 below winter. but sure makes it dark..
the same products can be bought but high price for what it is

WillPrairiePoodle - I forgot those moth balls (and even forgot about this post til it came back up). I'm VERY impressed with the Krylon paint. It dries in just a few seconds and has a nice smooth application. I've now put on my "list of things to do" to remove and paint the outside access door to the fridge. That yellowed plastic just sticks out on the nice white exterior !!

Wildbill, I found this post and I thought it might be the answer about the paint.
