It was very lucky to have someone who knew what he was doing arrive on the scene.

That happened not to far from here on RT 27 Florida .They were snowbirds returning to Michigan. Right front tire blowout on the MH. Rv repair company truck passing by got them out and someone got the toad unhooked. It was a total loss and it did not take long to burn.

Just another good reason to have an emergency evacuation plan for the Monte. It may be a long drop to the ground from that window in the bedroom but it's better than burning up in the fire! We've discussed the use and number of extinguishers in out units in numerous threads here before but it's always good to have a plan incase something does happen and also KNOW HOW TO USE THOSE EXTINGUISHERS in our units. I keep two in the TV, one just inside one of the basements doors, and have five extinguishers throughout the inside of the unit. Plan on putting an automatic one in the rear of the refrigerator and possibly one in the battery/hydraulic reservoir area too. These are not to fight or put out a fire but to be able to give us time to get out if needed if one does start in the unit.

Motor homes have the Propane tank right behind the front right tire. So when the tire blows it can rupture of the tank. When you see a big burn spot in the road thae was a mother home. One of the reasons I wouldn't buy a motorhome. Don't very often see a fifth wheel or a travel trailer on fire on the side of the road.again MHO.

There was no explosion but a very big and hot fire. It did start with a right front tire blowout.

Great to see people spring in to action to help complete strangers in a time of need.

It proves people don't know what to do in emergency situations. My wife thinks I being "over cautious" when I insist my guest hear "The Talk"! On my boats I gave the talk, on the RV I give the talk. How to get out, when to get out, what gas smells like, and how to use fire extinguishers! Oh and what goes in the toilet and how it works!!! Don't assume people know anything! Ok I am done.... Going to show Sue this video! Lol
