Diesel prices!
I paid $3.36 gal for diesel in north Phoenix yesterday. Woo Hoo!! I can't remember the last time it was this low. How about prices in your area?

It says a lot when we are happy about $3.36 when it should be two dollars cheaper than that.

Cheapest in Northern Il is 379.9. That's why we're taking the VW to California.

Wow... and I got very excited when the price dropped to $4.17 around here. But the fuel in California is heavily taxed and it shows. I'm not excited any more. Gee, thanks for the reality check, but I am very happy for you folks paying less.

Historically we get to Oregon on fumes from CA as the fuel price is much less in OR. To our surprise, diesel in Weed, CA is $4.05 and here in Canyonville, OR (usually the least expensive spot in OR) it is $4.12. The prices in WA are higher than both of these.
CA may have high taxes but that is no longer the differentiating factor in fuel prices.

Today in central Arkansas (Benton) on I-30 it is ranging from $3.49 at Murphy Oil to $3.79 at Pilot. Some places are higher. I'm not looking forward to the prices in Moab, Utah or West Yellowstone in a couple of weeks...but it's a price we pay for a couple of weeks pleasure.

Paid $3.59 here today in Council Grove, KS and since we are in the boonies and have no choice it's always higher than the surrounding towns. When I was mayor someone asked me what our local gas tax was because that was the only reason he could think of that we were higher than the surrounding big towns. I explained that we had no local tax we just had a local distributor that screws us. Not the explanation he expected from a mayor. The look on his face was priceless.

Thanks for letting me know to avoid refueling in Redding. I am sorry for you Artemus Gordon.
Since the time I posted our $4.17 price this morning, the price dropped to $4.11 and is even lower than unleaded gas! We haven't seen that here in years.

Do your prices vary greatly in the same city as here?
Our city is about 85,000 population and diesel prices vary from (US gallon) $4.63 to $5.22 and can and do vary more than once a day!
