camping in SW West Virginia Pipestem area

Hi everybody,
Anyone have a good campground suggestion for SW West Virginia? Looking for a place to go for a week in early May.
Edit: Several controllers at my work are from WV and although they don't camp, they all mentioned Pipestem. They said they thought this was one of the prettiest areas of the state.

Turley is right, we just spent a week at Beech Fork. $25.00 a night for full hookups (50 amp) is hard to beat. The road in to the park is a bit tricky. Since we live local, DW leads the way and we keep radio communications going between escort and tow vehicle. There is also a KOA at Milton but it is immediately adjacent to I-64 and you can hear the traffic. Not much help but there is not a lot available in SW West Virginia. Woodalls.com may help also.

I second Pipestem absolutely beautiful there. I have not camped there yet but have stayed in the resort many times. Great food and a airtram ride to the bottom which I think is back open for the season.

Pipestem is SE WV not SW. From the Cincinatti area it would be about a six hour drive. Let me suggest Stonewall Jackson park and resort near Weston along I-79 as well. Web Site: http://www.stonewalljacksonsp.com/ac...modations.html.

Pipestem is a beautiful area with lots to do.
They have a campground in the park.
This area has 82 sites, 31 with full hookup, 19 electric only, a heated bathhouse, laundry, campground store, games, and a playground area open year round.

Here is the site http://www.pipestemresort.com/accommodations.html

If I remember right there is also a private park near the entrance to the park. Pipestem KOA.
It is just outside Princeton, WV

Thanks folks...we'll give the area a try and let you know. Read that the KOA isn't the best.

Pipestem is very pretty. Some of the sites are pretty tight for a large 5w. Stonewall Jackson is very good, great golf course on property.
