In the RGV yet?

I hope everyone has a safe tip to the RGV. Let us know if you have arrived?

We have been here since Nov. 9th. Check out the directory. If the arrival dates were given to me I posted them.

It's like a ghost town here, still only 1/4 full. Kinda nice. Lots of Christmas lights up, really pretty.

We have noticed that all the parks around McAllen/Mission have lots of vacant spots. I can't remember the parks being that vacant previous years at this time.

We came in Nov. 29 to Handke Park, and glade to be here and not in Ne. when we see what the weather is like. Waiting for a get together and more good times.

Didn't make it yet. Karen had that pesky lung blow-out and required surgery. Our schedule has been pushed back to Feb. or March. Still want to go. Right now there are icecicles hanging from the trailer. Never wanted to see that but whaddayagonnado? Later(much) Bob

I am wondering how many would be down here but are stuck up north because of the weather? Also how many decided to stay home because of fuel prices?

We are sorta stuck because of weather, we wanted to start loading Tana this week, but decided a broken hip or leg was not worth it, neither of us skate that well any more!

That said, we were really glad we were not on the road and then maybe have to deal with some of that nasty stuff (shhhh, ice). Don't really think our path would have crossed the worst of it, but, still, YUCK.

We are looking at the possibility of this weekend???? Time to heat up the Weather bug and National Weather stations!

We arrived Saturday and are in Fun and Sun at San Benito. We lost our awning on Sat on the way here -- but they are coming to install a new one tomorrow. Got chilly first couple of nights so it seems cold is still following us but still a lot better then back in Va.

Saturdays are a bad day for awnings. I lost mine on Saturday the 15th also. Glad you are safe.
