DAVID, YOu might check with OZZIE up there in the cold country. He's a "Boot legger" by trade, (Tongue in cheek) and his girl friend Pam is a nurse up there, great people. They live in Apple Valley.

We (mostly I) just got back from a week in the woods of Northern MN...
just what is considered Central? We're at the southern part of the Twin Cities.
We tend to stay fairly close to home for now, as weekends are so precious for us working folk...

Ok John...so what is a boot legger??

We get up to the St Peter/Mankato area once or twice a year. We like to fish in the Minnesota river there at St Peter.

Central is anywhere between Willmar and the Wisconsin border and St Cloud and Hutchinson.

Ozzie what are your interests when camping? I am 50 and my wife Brenda is 48. We lile to relax and enjoy the surrounding areas of campsites

We are pretty close to the same age as you - I have you by only a couple years...and I better not say about my wife...LOL

We have a bit of a routine since we mostly are weekenders...arrive by dinner, have a nice grilled dinner and hang out by the firepit with a couple cocktails...then Saturday we go exploring the area looking for something unique, spend a good portion out and about if there's something to see or do.
We've found some very nice campgrounds, but are always looking for somewhere new to go to.
Love the bluff country by the rivers - there's lots of them too.
