CG Choices ? - Needles, CA in August

Don't even ask why I have to transit Needles on a Saturday in August...Flagstaff to the LA area through there, and it is too hot to try it all the way from Flagstaff. Arriving around 1100, leaving around 0500 next AM. Figure the temps will get to around 107 - 110 during the day.

Recommendations and comments please....the choices are (as best I can find) Needles KOA, Needles Marina RV Park or Northshore RV Resort (Coast to Coast).

Replies appreciated, thanks,

Hello PJ,
Wow! Sorry you'll be there at that time. We've stayed at the KOA a few times. It is on the west side of town. Just as you start up the hill. Easy to get to from the freeway. It is a fairly large park with plenty of spaces. The spaces are almost all pull thrus. Fairly level. You can choose FHUs or just water and electric. There are trees and shrubs but they aren't very large. Price was ok.... as you know KOAs tend to be a bit more than other parks.

There is another nice looking park right next to the KOA but it's always been full so we've never stayed there. It looks really nice.

Then there is the park right down on the river..... actually several of them. They all looked somewhat older and packed a little tighter. Don't know the price of any of them.

Since you are just transiting..... I'd opt for either the KOA or the one right next to it. They are just a little off the freeway and easy to get in and out of. Good luck and stay cool.
