emptying black tank any issues here?

Our Grandson stayed with us and of course he has to use 1/2 roll TP when he goes.
went to go drain the black tank and started out great then a trickle, turned on the tank sprayer and still a trickle. RUT RO a clog. I have the Valterra twist on valve, love it but that's another story. thought occurred to me close the Valterra valve open the galley valve to send water to the black tank to release the clog back into the tank to break up. it worked, did this procedure 3 times black tank was cleaned out when the sprayer was on clear water came out of the black tank. closed up black tank added water good to go. proceeded to empty all other tank as usual. over the last couple weeks I started doing this procedure of reversing water into the black tank. the tank seems to not smell as bad (we use tablets in the tank) so my question, is there something I'm missing by reversing the flow into the black tank? just don't want any issues down the road.

thank you

I have done that a few times. While camping without hookups the black tank does not get filled as fast as the galley and gray tank. With the extra valteravalve at the end of the line we just open the gray or galley valve and then the black tank valve and we backfill the black to gain some extra room. Close them all up and we're good to go for a few more days. Works when dumping the tanks like you have done also.
I had to add the fourth twist on valtera valve while on a trip in Canada and the OEM black tank valve would not close. When we got home I installed it permanently.

I do that whenever I have to use a dump station and can't use the black tank flush.
