The fuse is located behind the face above the door. You have to take out 2 screws ,then pull the face plate off. Then look to the right of there, and you can see the fuse. You'll take out two more screws to get to it. It is a glass buss fuse. Becareful when putting it back together and tap lightly on things. I've replaced it 4 times in 2 days because I was hitting the face to hard...lol

Replaced my OEM with this Frigidaire. Very nice microwave. Was same mounting points as original, no mods required. Only had to turn the vent to vent outside. Also allowed me to insulate around the vent better than what manufacturer did.

Ours died yesterday. I have watched YouTube videos of removing the top face plate and changing the fuse. I have removed the two screws on top but can't get the face plate to come off. How hard did you have to pull (pry) on it to get it off?
I have model EC942K9E

I don't know why anybody gets another Highpointe....get one of the big brand names, Whirlpool, GE, Frigidaire, etc. We've had three GEs in three RVs, no problems, all convection/microwaves.

Does anyone have a digital manual for the Hi Pointe EC942K9E? Trying to figure out how to use the convection, it warms to set temp then shuts off. It won't stay on to bake or roast and the timer won't set. Any help would be greatly appreciated on the operating instuctions.

There are on-line manuals for just about anything you have. Just google that model number and the word “manual”. And I always look in the results first for that site manualslib.com.

There is usually a reason a fuse blows. You can replace it, but odds are, it will blow again at some point. On the Highpoint's it's the door switches.

Bonus, because I was in the first year, when I mentioned this to my dealer and provided receipts, Keystone actually refunded me the cost of the replacement. That was super cool as I didn't get stuck with the lousy Highpointe as a replacement.
Installation was pretty simple.
Good luck.

What model number whirlpool did you use. Was it the same dimensions including the exhaust fan? Thanks

If you do the factory tour and/or watch a video of the assembly line, you understand why they don't let you customize things. Also, there are no electric wiring plans because the 'Amish' workers just install things by memory!!! Really!! I think they run the same model thru repeatedly during the day or days. Then change models for a while. No mix and match stuff.
