Ok Ok ok I'll be the Champion guy here lol lol.. Yep my 3500 Champion stays in the truck and has been there for the past 4 years. Got it chained to the hitch and found an old cover for a roof top AC unit fits perfect. We never use it much just when we stop at rest stops or truck stops or in case of emergency. We have been in a campground in Texas that lost power. You do not want to lose power in Texas when it's 105. I think it gets it's most use when my mobile dog groomer comes, she pulls in beside my truck and plugs in. It has always started on the 2nd pull. When we need it traveling I still have a 30 amp cord so between the 50 amp and the 30 amp it reaches the truck fine and it has a 30 amp plug on it. Not to start a Honda vs the world war but I don't really notice a whole lot of difference between it and 2 Hondas running under a load. To me a generator running is still a generator running and you will hear it regardless of the type. Would I use it around a bunch of tent campers in the middle of the wilderness?? heck no, but for races and parking lots or emergency it is fine.
