Squeaky floor leads to improvements
When we took our unit to the service center, one of the items we wanted them to check was a squeak in the bedroom floor near the closet. Well, they weren't able to deal with it...so, we did.
To get to the area in question, Kathy & I had to remove the underside of the front cap area (between the pin box and the front storage area).
Once inside this area, we removed the insulation and went searching for the culprit...
What we found was a metal-nail (why are they using nails?) that didn't hit the cross-bar.
Well, while we were in there, we decided to make some improvements - after all, anything worth doing is worth over doing.
So we ran wiring that Kathy secured to the underside of the bedroom floor...
For an exterior light for our BBQ...
And another light in the closet (driver side).
All in all, we got it done in just over 4 hours.

Mike and Kathy-- Anytime you guys have some spare time on your hands come on out to Omaha and I'll let you revamp my unit! Nice job on the mods with the lights. Wish I was as handy and you two are on your mods. We're sitting here in Goshen at the Fall Rally and trying to pick up on some of the handy dandy stuff our fellow MOCrs are doing to their rigs also. We have a Show and Tell on Friday with two rigs and the rest on Sunday. Looking forward to seeing how some have done their changes also. Take care and keep those mod pictures coming!

Nice job Mike & Kathy!! They must still have the same guy attaching the sub-floor material because our rig has the same squeak you describe in the same area .
Footloose: How did you deal with the problem?

We haven't had that problem -- just commenting on Michael and Kathy's achievements. If we do have that problem, we know where to find the experts!
