We just returned home to WV this week from a 3 week trip to South GA/FL.
Diesel was 3.89 on the way down and 4.25 on the way back.

We stayed in 3 different campgrounds and all were completely full. Stayed in 2 rest areas while traveling and they were full too. lol

I don't think it matters if it goes to $6+ a gallon. I think the state and national parks will still be full. I know its not stopping us.

I think $6 Plus fuel will matter to a lot of us. We will still go, but we won't go as far and we won't go as often. I'd guess what we are and will be seeing in state parks is people staying closer to home. Perhaps it all boils down to how big a pile of money you have buried in your back yard. Ha! Everything we have is transported by fossil fuel currently. Unfathomable fuel prices will domino to everything we buy or do.

I agree.if diesel prices cross $5.50 a gallon our big trip is out. We’ll just have to make do with a lot shorter trips, and depending on how much prices go up we may have to cut down on the frequency of them too.

Yeah with these prices, shorter trips will be in everyone's future.

Silver lining maybe? with these fuel prices maybe the new covid campers will rethink RV'ing and we can get our campgrounds back to normal

Filled up yesterday at $4.59 (with .10 cent discount at Exxon!).
Half a tank cost me $96.00! This is quickly getting out of hand.

$4.69 and higher in Myrtle Beach. Filled up the truck and 63 gallon Aux. fuel tank It was $465.25, enough to make it home. And that was cash price.
I have a few words for that clown.

Diesel jumped to 4.75 here yesterday evening. It was 4.10 yesterday morning. Gasoline jumped to 3.99.

This is going to suck paying these ridiculous fuel prices! We only go around once though and no promise of tomorrow. We're going as planned.

In our little town in Northwest Wisconsin, diesel went up to $4.49 a gallon, literally overnight it went up 30 cents!

You are absolutely correct. What is so sad is that we are coming out of the pandemic where we didn't do too much for almost 2 years, now with these ridiculous fuel prices we can't afford the fuel to hit the road!!

Offset prices a little

Slow Down and Drive Conservatively
Reducing your speed by 5 to 10 mph can improve fuel economy by 7%–14%. Using cruise control on the highway can help drivers maintain a constant speed; vehicles use the most energy when accelerating.
Feeling Blessed!!!!!

Covid stopped many people, but we put on 5000 miles in 2020, and 8000 last year. In 2020, many states had mandatory masking until later in the summer. Had no problems with anything other than finding someplace to eat at times.
