Front Living Room RVs and Tow Vehicles
I've been off the forum, at least writing wise, for quite a few years now. But we own a 3400 RL and are happy with it overall. I'm being a little premature here, as we're probably not looking to upgrade for a couple of years yet. But I'm wondering about the new front living room models that Montana is making, 0ne of them being the 3750 FL.
My wife and I were surprised how much we liked this model when we went inside one of them while we were in Florida recently. Aside from hearing from people who own these models, I'm also wondering what kind of truck I might need to tow one of these? For example, would a dually be necessary or would it be possible to tow it with a four wheel HD truck? We're considering buying a new truck within the next couple of years and then buying the Montana we want to go with it. The pin weight is an obvious factor but I'm wondering what people have experienced with their trucks in this rig?

I move my 3750FL with a 6.7L 6spd. tow-haul jake brake 4 whl. drive 2007.5 Dodge Ram 3500 single axle. No issues or negative comments at all. Towing is a breeze! The truck is a 4 wheel drive but that just happened to come with the truck I bought. I use 4 whl. low from time to time backing up to maintain a constant slow speed.

I tow my 2013 3750FL with a 2012 Silverado 3500 Dually, 6.6 Duramax and 6 speed Allison, 4WD. No problems at all. The transmission has a tow mode which lowers the shift points and makes for a smooth shifting.
Have used the 4WD drive several times in a site that was all grass. Allowed me to move without tearing up the grass in a spin.

I had a 1-ton Dodge dually and I did not like it that I was approaching my limits and pushing the truck too hard. Plus uncomfortable for a big guy, DW, son, and dogs. So we recently went with the HDT in my signature. Almost just as long and same width as the dually, just a little taller. Air ride everything plus super quiet inside. Better turning radius and 300-gallon fuel tanks. Not for everybody, but great for us. Love the 3750....lots a room for all.

We pulled our Front Living Room Montana with a 350SRW, no problems. Don't know the weight of the new ones, but am now a must have DRW owner.

We pull ours with a 2700 Dodge 3500 SRW, just back from a 10,000 mile trip truck pulled the trailer very well. As for pin weight our 2006 Sunnybrook 32BWKS had about 200lbs more pin weight than our 2012 3750FL.
