2013 Model Year Changes

I just noticed in some pictures of a 2013 3750FL that the stove now has Corian covers instead of the old metal bi-fold cover. It looks great and makes a nice level continuation of the counter space.

Just wondering if anyone knows any other changes yet for the 2013's that are hitting the lots.

Now that's a nice change! Hopefully they'll do that on ALL the new models.

The only real differences are the date of production and price. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Our 2013 3402 Big Sky hhs those covers. We really did not notice any changes from the pictures we took at the Tampa Rv show. We ordered a 2012 and got a 2013no additional cost.

Will the stove cover now be the same as the sink: have to find a permanent place to store it as it is a pain to remove and reinstall every time you want access. I took it off permanently.

They are just removable covers, not like the bi-fold regular tops. I can see where the sink ones I will just leave off, but the stove ones might be nice since we don't use it as much as the sink, and the counter space is minimal in our units so that little bit extra will be nice.

Like Rich, our 3402 was ordered as a 2012. Ours was in the first production run of 2013's at no extra charge. The very first thing the DW saw was the Corian cover over the stove. You'd have thought I had bought her a diamond she was so thrilled. No other differeces noticed.

Well that worked out well Kevin! I have to admit I like the look of it too.

We started as a '12 but will be getting the '13 too. Because of that we also got the outdoor entertainment center too as it is a forced option for the 3750FL, but that will probably come out as I don't see us using it anyway.

Helen says the stove covers are a big improvement. They look much better and since we lost counter space from the 06 3400 it gives some back. Makes do difference to me...

We thought the same thing with outside entertainment. Just the opposite, it's a big hit with everyone. Watched movies and entertained countless new friends that stopped by our camp this weekend in Tahoe!

Well, that's neat. I never thought of it as being sort of an icebreaker for people to drop by...

If you get too popular, you might have to charge a couple bucks a head!

Are the stove covers as heavy as the sink covers? Discussed this new feature extensively with DW last weekend which camping and even though the appearance may well be enhanced, she did not seem impressed with having to store the covers and the possible weight involved. With that being said, on our previous model, we had removed the folding cover and used one of the wood covers from Camping World. She liked it since it served as a cutting board/trivet on the counter when not in use. We have yet to remove the folding covers on the new rig, but I am sure their life is dated. We have been eying up the new black solid covers from camping world since she does not feel the wood cover matches the decor.

Bingo it is my opinion that they are just as heavy as the sink covers. Our sink covers for the 06 3400 went in the S&B garage and we did not see them again till we traded it in.You will have to find a place to put the solid covers when the stove is in use.

That is exactly what we considered Rich and is what I thought of. By the way we traveled through your neck of the woods Sunday on I-2. Would have hollered at you, but kinda figured you didn't want to be disturbed after midnight. We were heading back to Navarre from Cedar Point.

I also put the sink covers in a safe place but not on the sink??? But the cover for the stove does look cool, but I still think, even though it don't look as nice, the metal bi-fold is more practical.

I guess it boils down to how much you use the stove (pun intended). Seems we are either cooking mostly outside or just doing something quick in the microwave, so the stove will be covered most of the time. Heard from the rep yesterday about the logo merchandise again. One thing I don't get is they are all excited about cutting boards to match the countertops. But as much as I read about how easy it is to scratch the Corian, they better be making them from some other material for them to be any good - keep forgetting to ask him that.

Bingo
You were within a mile of our driveway when you passed the 151 Mile Marker on the Ohio TPK. We were not home till Monday from a Camp-out
Knew you were at Baylor Beach a favorite campground of ours but had another camp out.

We just loved the sink covers until one by one, all members of family turned on the water and flooded the counters. Last time I seen them was when DW accidentally did it! Lol

We like to take just the front half of the stove cover off to use the front burner. That leaves counter top behind that-we use an electric skillet there (camp electricity is much cheaper than propane.). As for the sink covers, she put rubber feet on them so when they are set on the counter they don't scratch it. She always puts the covers back on when not using the sink. We've found that they stand on edge on the floor near the stove and out of the way.
