Campin with Mikey and Diane

Mikey turned us on to a great Corps of Engineers RV park here in New Mexico, close to both SantaFe and Albuquerque. Beatutiful here, and $10.00 a night with my 'Old fart's pass'
We made one, well three or four wrong turns getting here, ever back a 39' Montana down a winding narrow residential street on a steep hill? Don't...
But we are here, and Wow! I went down to the office and paid for a week. New Mexico, you have quite a state here.
Mikey and Diane are super people.

Cochiti Lake, on the Rio Grande 50 miles upstream from Albuquerque. The 5th largest river in North America, and among the 20 longest rivers of the world.
It valiantly struggles to guard the border between Mexico and the United States. :0

Ozz ... we have been doing the Army Corp parks for the last 5 years.. They are great..better than any private park or even a koa... There are a few that have full hookups... and always nice and clean.. We try and plan our trip to stay at them.. You can stay more than 14 days in a 30 day period if you ask at the project office.. been there done that.. spent a month at one in south GA....

Bruce... We have the golden age pass.. it cost $10 and it is good forever.. you have to be 62 to get one.. When we went to the Grand Canyon..showed them the pass.. no charge to go in..Check out the web site Recreation.Gov.. I am sure there is info on where to get this card..Army Corp campgrounds are then 1/2 price..On in GA... $11 for full hookups.. not bad..

We respectively request that everyone question OZZ's sanity and judgment if he thinks that Diane I are OK.
Maybe it comes from being an old fart! He'scertified and has the pass to prove it
Mikey
PS but seriously Moc people rock!

The best part of Cochiti is the golf course IF you are in to golf. Camping and fishing are also great. Departed ABQ on Sep 22.

Thanks for the replies on the pass to get a discount at COE Rv parks. We have the golden age pass and use it all the time in the National Parks but didn't know it could be used for COE parks discounts.

Well for now I'll gladly pay full price for my annual young whippersnapper pass and then in another 4 years or so when I'm officially "old" I'll be able to get the OFP and use all those savings for my daily doses of Geritol.

That CG looks nice. I'll have to check it out and see if it will fit in to our travels this winter.
