Yeah I don't Know why GD does not step it up With Better Quality Components on their Solitude Line( the very First line they came out with) as they are the same price as our Legacy Monty BUT I have been in a few Reflections and Our Cougar Line has nothing on them Except more floor plans and it would not Surprise me If they out sold the Solitudes now

I look at it this way. Most of us pull these things up & down the roads. The roads in our country leave a lot to be desired in most cases, which is always going to cause something to come lose, crack, break, etc. It would be the same way if we pulled our stick built houses up & down the roads. I'm sure people who leave their rigs in a campground for 6 months at a time don't have as many of the small issues with screws & molding as those that pull them on weekends or cross country. That being said, there are bigger issues that happen as soon as you pull out of the dealership for the first time that are unacceptable and are pure manufacturer quality control issues such as electrical, leaking, etc. I think every brand has those issues in one form or another. These campers come off an assembly line and I'm sure an employee on that assembly line is going to have a bad day here & there, we all do. I don't think Keystone, or Thor should be singled out. I know a man who bought a very expensive, very high end camper and has had nothing but problems with it, including having to have an entire slide replaced before it was 6 months old.

I have to agree with both sides of this conversation as I think the quaility controll (at least on mine) is almost non existent. I also figure that I probably do a better job on most repairs than what gets done at most RV dealerships. Each trip we go on is a small test to see what breaks and will need to be fixed. This trip was the small valance on the ODS end of the couch was laying on the end of the couch and not fastened to the wall anymore. It was a good reminder to call Keystone customer service about the other previous issues that are still not fixed. I went to the hardware store and bought some plastic mollys and did the repair myself. Screws were maybe 1/2" long, unfortunately no studs where they were located just the luan finish wall. I think the mollys will keep it on in the future. Probably should just take on another chore and do the procedure to all the other blinds. Might check with a stud finder to see if any of them actually are screwed into a stud.
I do think they should do higher quaility work but it is tuff when they have a quota of units to build.

Part timer here we have towed our 2008 3000RK over 40,000 miles and stayed in it over 370 days. Other than the decals peeling off we have had no issues worth mentioning. This includes over 30,000 miles on original tires, two which were plugged and patched within the first 100 miles. As an 8 year old Montana owner (that's the trailer age not me, I'm 72) I can say we are satisfied and happy with ours. No complaints here.

we have had two Montana's 06 3400 13 3402.Put about 85/90K miles on them over 11 years we spend 6 months in Florida during the winter and travel 30 to 60 day during the summer. We figure we lived in them about 3000 days many have done a lot more. We have had plenty of problems but thats RV'ing. We are in the shop now recovering from our 5400 mile summer trip.

We have had this 13 3402 since June 2012 and have done about 20K miles and lived in it about 900 hours. We are on our 3rd failed tank.Little things like curtains falling down screws popping out of the fenders.Cooling units failing, delamination, air return vents falling off the ceiling, John coming off the floor, wheels falling off the bed. Closet shelves collapsing are not worth worrying about.

We are still having fun.
