We should be back there next week. Just had to make an emergency run back to MI. due to a very close friend that is nearing his end. 9 yrs battling that dreaded cancer. Just had to come back and see him before that day came, which will be any day now. This is his 2nd time with cancer, this last time they gave the man 6 mos. to live.............that was 3 yrs ago!!! Hes a fighter all the way to say the least. Sorry I got away from the subject here.

We will be on lot 255. Stop by and check us out. Be looking forward to it.

Not certain which site they are in but members of our RV club are there. Living in a 2980RL. Lad and Lois Jenicek. If I were there I could drive right to there site, but only being there once couldn't tell you the site number. Say hi from neighbors Dave and Carla back in Washburn, WI.

grey GMC short box SRW. Or is it a long box? Anyway believe it is grey with South Dakota plates. Definitely SD plates. Ain't CRS great? Only see them once a yr if we happen to both be in Washburn at the same time.

Will try and locate them.
There are at LEAST 15 Montana's in the park. Also, a very large contingent of Ontario folks.

What are some of the better sites to stay in? I'm guessing the lake views would be the best. We'll be there the second week of Jan. Can you reserve a certain site ahead of your arrival, the gal at reservations said we could drive around and then pick our site.

They don't assign you a site till you get to the park. When you reserve you are gauranteed a spot in the park. When you get here you can pick out a site. Will tell you that Jan. is usually pretty full, but this year it seems to be a bit down from last year. More sites seem to be available. I did hear through the grapevine that Feb and March are booked. Not to say there won't be cancellations which there always is.

The lake is a nice view but really there isn't a bad site in the park. The lake side is $20.00 more a month I think. The backside of the park is close to wear they had the fire in June, and 1000 acres were burnt. Not a pretty site. Just another setback for the Gulf Shores area. Hurricane Ivan closed the park for quite awhile then followed up by the Gulf oil spill, and now a fire. Thinking these people have seen enough devastation for awhile. But the beaches are pretty once again so don't let that stop you. Great place here.
