Tires are such a problem here that there is a whole category of posts dedicated to the subject. Tires, Montana Tires

The bottom line is REPLACE TRAILER KINGS NOW!!! Get Sailun G627 or Goodyear G614 tires before the other TK tires blow out.

This is the main topic in the summer and has been for a number of years. Like Carl said get rid of the standard ST tires or expect at least one blowout that could do thousands of damage. It’s your choice pay me now or pay me later.

I had 2 blowouts (both on the passenger side) in a week of the Trailer King LR E tires. I replaced them with LR F. We'll give that a try and hope it works. I've gotten pretty good at doing the quick change on the side of the highway. Sign me up for NASCAR pit crew :-).

I ran Carlisle LR F tires on a 12,000# 5er for years without a problem. Ran them at 90 psi cold on 80# wheels. On a light 5er like that I'd do it again.
