Fords lists two GVWR's for the F350 CC LB Dually 4x4,. 13,000 and 14,000. The 13000 has a payload of 5530, The 14000 has a payload of 6530.

What is the differences in the trucks? How would you spec out an order to get the higher payload?

I believe the difference is spring rating. I also believe the #14000 is an optional package.

Just a side note...the F350 may not have the turning radius of the F450 but, the F350 has a higher rated payload capacity. Also, you may be able to order the F350 with the Tow Boss Package (if its still an option) that will give you the F450 turning radius.

Actually its just the opposite. Found out from the Ford forum all DW F350 diesel CC LB 4x4's come with the 14K GVWR. But you can order the lesser payload option if you want to.

In some states it might keep the truck out of the commercial classifications. Just my guess.

Check some factory stickers of the same trucks we are talking about, all the ones I seen have a GVWR of 14K.

The payload numbers for every truck will be slightly different unless they have identical options and trim levels. So you can't really state-specific payload numbers since their individual To Each truck.

I have the same trailer without the generator. I ran it across scales at the beginning of a two month trip and the pin weight was 3500 lbs. My truck has a payload of 5700 lbs.

Just noticed your post, thank you. Talked to a couple of guys who own 2020 F350 SW CC LB diesels and they reported door jam stickers in the range of 4400-4450 pounds. This muddys the water a little for me.

3700 pin weight loaded with gen.
Add the weight of the wife plus maybe 100 pounds of gear I carry in the truck for another 250. 100 pounds for hitch. 150 gear in the bed of the truck. Add another 100 for me as I weigh more than 150 and more gear. That brings me up to 4300 so still 100-150 under. Might just stay with a SW truck. Trailer will only be used maybe 3-4 times a year.

I would suggest researching more numbers. No SRW 3500 will have a GVWR that will allow 4400 lbs. Unless the truck world has passed me by in the last couple years.

The world has passed you by. Ford lists the F350 4x4, 2020 LB CC diesel as having a payload of 4580 with the standard 12400 GVWR package, which is standard unless you decide to order a truck with less. You can verify the 12400 package by looking at factory stickers on 2020 trucks.

The payload is listed on Fords 2020 Superduty brochure, page 27. Options can cause it to be slightly less.

There is the problem. Confusing payload ratings with GVWR. GVWR cannot be exceeded. Payload numbers often are in excess of what the GVWR will allow. A 12400 GVWR on one of these trucks that weigh about 8600 lbs. will give a legal weight capacity of about 3700 lbs.

Unless Ford changed things from 2019 to 2020, your payload ratings seem way high in the above post. My buddy just bought a brand new 2019 F-350 SRW crew cab long bed diesel Lariat four-wheel drive. His payload sticker says 3150

I've said it before and I'll say it again, no two trucks will have the same payload capacity on that door sticker. It all depends on the options and trim level and features of the specific truck. Generally speaking the higher trim levels and the more options on the truck the lower the payload

These stickers in this link are tire loading maximums. They don't address vehicle weight ratings as below.
